What is the opportunity?
Act as a frontline consultant and sales specialist for prospective students, converting enquiries into applications and enrolments for undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes. Combine consultative sales, high‑quality student advice and CRM-driven activity to meet recruitment targets while safeguarding student interests and complying with regulatory and institutional policies.
What does success look like:
Convert inbound and outbound enquiries into applications and enrolments through consultative conversations (multichannel interactions with high call volumes).
Conduct eligibility checks, advise on entry requirements, fees, funding and application processes.
Manage a pipeline of prospects in the CRM (Salesforce): record interactions, update statuses, schedule follow-ups and meet SLAs.
Achieve individual and team targets (applications, offers, enrolments) and contribute to wider recruitment KPIs.
Deliver personalised outreach campaigns (multichannel) and follow sales playbooks for different segments.
Qualify leads using predetermined criteria.
Produce accurate, compliant advice and communications that adhere to consumer protection guidance and institutional policies.
Contribute to continuous improvement: feedback on messaging, conversion bottlenecks, and CRM/process enhancements.
Maintain knowledge of competitor offers, market trends and programme changes to inform prospect conversations.
Escalate complex or sensitive cases to appropriate teams and support appeals or complaints processes as required.
What you bring to the table:
Essential skills, knowledge and experience
Experience
Proven experience (typically 2+ years) in a sales, recruitment, admissions or student‑facing advisory role - preferably within higher education, professional training or a regulated sector.
Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding targets and managing a sales pipeline.
Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, Anthology, or similar) to manage leads and reporting.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Professional sales or customer service qualifications are desirable but not essential.
Knowledge
University application processes (UCAS/direct), basic fee structures and common funding routes.
Admissions criteria, typical entry requirements for relevant subject areas, and student support pathways.
CRM usage and lifecycle management, enquiry-to-enrolment funnel metrics, data protection principles (GDPR) relevant to student data handling.

Skills
Ability to uncover needs, overcome objections and close next steps.
Clear, persuasive verbal and written communication tailored to diverse audiences (domestic/international).
Manage multiple prospects, prioritise activity and meet SLAs.
Competent with CRM, Excel and dashboard reports; able to interpret KPIs and act on insights.
Rapport with prospective students, academic colleagues and external partners.
Handle complex cases, think commercially and escalate when necessary.
Manage rejection, shifting priorities and seasonal demand peaks.
Work effectively with diverse international applicants and cultural contexts.
Must be able to speak, read and write Italian at native level.
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience
Experience in HE recruitment teams, or working with international student markets.
Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive practice for student recruitment and admissions.
